I feel like it’s only right for me to tell you a bit about how I got into the Make Money Online niche.

I’ve been doing this, off-and-on, for very long time, back to the early days of the Internet. I was newly married with our first child on the way and working in manufacturing, barely able to make ends meet. Sometimes, they didn’t.

On a whim, I picked up a magazine that promised to show opportunities to make money or even start a business. I had vaguely heard that some people were making extra money on this thing called the Internet, some were making very good money.

So I knew I needed to bring in more money for our new, growing family and a second job wasn’t an option. One of the things I read about was Google AdSense. I started a free blog, slapped AdSense ads on it and, within six months, got a check in the mail from Google for over $100! Not a lot, granted, but enough to show me it could be done. That was just the start of my journey. If I could do it way back then, I know you can do it now. And, there are lot more options now.

When the AdSense thing didn’t amount to much, I was on to eBay. My goal was to be what, back then, was called a Powerseller (I’m not sure if it still is or not). Even though there was less competition then there is today, there was just so much to do to have any real success. It was impossible with a full-time job, a small kid, and a wife that also worked full-time, along with our church activities.

So, I began looking for alternatives and I stumbled on Affiliate Marketing. The biggest problem was that I was expecting it to be magic. I wasn’t looking at it as a legitimate, long-term business. That’s all changed now. I’m starting my Affiliate Marketing journey over with the right mindset. I’d love for you to follow my journey and even join in.
